Cover Your Tracks
Privacy while using our website
If you are worried that somebody else is able to see you using this website, then it would be wise to get to know the keyboard shortcuts that allow you to close the browser window you're looking at as quickly as possible.
Closing a browser window using your keyboard is much quicker than using the mouse and clicking the 'x' at the top of your screen if you know which buttons to press.
If you're using a Microsoft Windows computer, press the 'ALT' key and then the 'F4' key.
Alternatively, if you're using an Apple Mac computer, press the 'Apple' key and the 'W' key.
It may also be a good idea to have another browser window open at the same time, so that when you do close a window, you'll automatically have that other browser window open and you won't be seen to just be looking at a blank screen.
Privacy after using our website
You can also take steps to protect your privacy after you've used our website. The best way to do this would be to clear your internet history straight away after using our website.
When you browse the internet, all sorts of information about the websites you've visited, information you've provided to other websites and searches you've entered into search engines such as Google, are all monitored and kept on your computer. It is very easy to delete this information, thus 'clearing your tracks', and no longer providing anybody with any information about the websites you have visited.
We have provided links at the bottom of this page which outline how to clear your browsing history, depending on which browsers you use on your computer. It would be a good idea to familiarise yourself with this information.
Note: It is also possible for someone to work out which websites you have visited in the past, so if complete safety and secrecy is important, then it is recommended that you use computers in a public place such as an internet café or a library, or even a friend's house to use our website.
