Volunteering

Volunteering is crucial to RASA and we are always looking to recruit and train new volunteers.  We have one large volunteer intake per year. Successful recruits will receive training and lots of support to get you started.  As a volunteer you can:

• Provide support to those who have experienced sexual violence.
• Work on a telephone helpline and face to face
• Become a Trustee or member of a committee.
• Get involved in our offices helping with admin. 
• Raise funds and/or awareness.

Some roles require specific training which will be given to you. We no longer offer Counselling training placements to external candidates. All counsellors must be qualified to a minimum of diploma level 4 and you must be a member of the BACP. You must be over 18 years of age.  If you have previously been a service user you are welcome to volunteer after 12 months of your service ending. You can download an application form here and return it to This email address is being protected from spambots. Recruitment for internal trainee counsellors, qualified counsellors and listening ear volunteers.

Recruitment process is open for receipt of applications on 01/03/2024

Closing date for applications is 26^th April 2024.  

Interviews will take place week commencing 30^th April 2024.

Mandatory training dates are 11th, 12th , 18 th and 19^th of May 2024 10am – 4pm (you must be able to attend all dates) .
