Important Information

Fundraising is all about having fun, but we still need to ensure that you follow all the rules in order to keep everyone safe. Below are some things you will need to consider if you are holding an event:

  • Insurance - Holding an event with members of the public means your venue will need to be covered by public liability insurance.
  • Alcohol- There are licensing laws relating to selling and supplying alcohol. To learn more about licenses visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/alcohol-licensing.
  • Food - Plan on providing or selling food at your event? Check out www.food.gov.uk to ensure you are following health and safety laws.
  • Entertainment - Public entertainment licenses may be required if people are providing entertainment. You can check whether you need one, with your local council.
