We are pleased to announce that the Steve Morgan Foundation has awarded RASA Children’s Service £83,400 which will enable us to run the Power Project for 3 years.
The Power Project is an outreach project that will support young people affected by sexual violence, to develop positive coping strategies, overcome barriers, boost their confidence, promote positive mental health, and empower them to take control of their future.
Janet Bunn, Children’s Service Manager said “we are dedicated to supporting the emotional wellbeing of young people affected by sexual violence. We are absolutely over the moon to receive funding from The Steve Morgan Foundation as we know what a huge difference this will make to our young people – ensuring they get the right support, at the right time, in the right place for them”.
This funding is essential to help us to meet the needs of all young people as we are aware that not all young people impacted by sexual abuse want to engage in counselling.
We are hugely grateful to everyone at the Steve Morgan Foundation for recognising this need and for helping us to continue to empower young survivors of sexual abuse.
